Children's Ministries
Nursery-5th Grade
To expose and educate our children to God’s love, and to provide a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable environment for children to meet with friends, in glorifying God and serving others.
Our nursery is staff supervised by Shannon Morgan, and is in operation on Sunday mornings during the church services, as well as during special events.
In our Sunday school program, we are blessed to have the most wonderful group of dedicated and loving Sunday school teachers and Coordinators who give our children lifelong lessons each week. Our Sunday school is held each week during the 9:30 hour (grades Pre K – 5th grade). We follow the Forsyth school calendar and our curriculum, which is the Augsburg Fortress Witness program, teaches our children the Old Testament for the first semester (Aug – Dec) and the New Testament during the second semester (Jan – May). Each year, we also collect canned food for our “Mountain of Food” to donate to The Place at Christmas. The children participate in a Christmas Program each December.
The Stepping Stones program is a progressive education program for children that begins at birth and grows with them through college. The Children’s Ministries sections include Baptism, 1st Bibles (given to 3 year olds starting Sunday School), Prayer Books (given to Kindergartners entering school), Youth Bibles (training and distribution occurs in the 2nd grade), and First Communion Training which occurs in the 4th grade.
Our KLICK (Kids’ Living in Christ’s Kingdom, ages 3-5th grade) program continues to grow and improve, as children participate in fun team-building activities, as well as community outreach programs.
Cool-Aid (Children of Our Lord Abounding in Devotion – ages 3-8) children also had many fun activities each year, including the Fall Festival, Christmas.Activity, Valentines Party, Easter Egg Hunt, and Spring Camping Party.
