Upcoming Children and Family's Events

It’s a busy time of year for everyone and we are certainly no exception. Our ministry has had a very busy past few weeks
and we are looking forward to spending some family time together at the holidays.
We once again hosted the CASA party here at Christ the King for over 50 foster children in the area. It was a big success,
with lunch and crafts provided for the kids as well as large stockings from CASA and a visit from Santa. We would like to
thank all the parents and youth who volunteered their time to make this a special day for those children.
We had a big turnout for the popular Parents Night Out recently with about 40 children staying with us here at church
while their parents enjoyed some time for dinner or shopping. There were lots of smiling faces and the children had a
good time also!
Our Family Christmas Bowling Party attracted over 50 participants to
Stars and Strikes on Sunday and we all had a great time bowling for a
few hours and enjoying some fellowship.
Last, but not least, was our Children’s Christmas Program,” A Stranger
in the Manger,” which was also a big success thanks to the direction of
Deborah Scarazzo. The children sang to an overflow audience at the
9:30 a.m. service and everyone enjoyed Christmas cookies and drinks
afterward in the fellowship hall.

Sunday School
Sunday School - We are beginning our search for two Sunday School teachers to help us with the Preschool Sunday School class (ages 3 and 4) beginning in September. We have a well organized, "easy planning" curriculum utilizing the "Veggie Tales" characters. When fully staffed, this will only require an every third week rotation. Please prayerfully consider this wonderful ministry to our youngest Christ the King members.
