The Spring Cluster meeting for the Women of the ELCA, Foothills Cluster, will be Saturday, April 19th, 9am - 3pm, at Shepherd of the Hills in Morganton, Georgia. The theme is "Living Waters" and all women are invited to this event. In addition to a devotion there will be a presentation of "Sew Much Comfort", a craft time and great fellowship with our sisters from other churches. Lunch is provided. Plan now to join the group from Christ the King!! (We'll carpool from the church.) If you're interested please contact Gail Trimble (404-822-4378, gardengail@comcast.net, CTK mailbox 104) by 3/30/08. There is a $12 charge for the Cluster meeting. Checks should be payable to "Women of the ELCA".
What's all this "B" stuff about? Well, you won't Believe how much fun you will have with all the ladies of Christ the King at this event. A delicious Brunch will be provided and all ladies in attendance are asked to Bring a small gift basket (10 dollar limit) for an exchange. At the event, we will be making Blankets to present to our members that have new Babies. The more women in attendance the more Blankets we can make-extras will be shared with others in our community. We found we are able to provide child care for this event!! You must sign up each child and provide a lunch for each child. Sign up by 4/20/08 - you'll find the sign up pages are on the kiosk in the narthex.
Other Events:
- meets at 7pm on the 3rd Monday of each month. Meetings are held in private homes. Look for information in the bulletin or call the President for more information. People usually carpool from the church to the hostess' home.
