Upcoming Youth Events

Kelly Edwards, Director of Youth Ministries has a new email address: youthministries@ctklutheran.com. Please change this in your address books. Also parents please send Kelly your email address so that she may update her address book.

Confirmation Camp forms and money were due April 15. Kelly Edwards will be attending one last meeting prior to camp this week and MUST turn in everything at that time. Please contact Kelly if you have any questions.

Hike and Picnic- Sunday, May 4 at Sawnee Mountain Park - just up the street from the church. We'll meet at the church at 4:00 p.m. and return by 7:00 p.m. Please pack your dinner, bug spray and other items in a back pack and dress appropriately for a hike and picnic. Feel free to invite your family and friends to join us.

Confirmation will be held on Pentecost Sunday, May 11, 2008. The Rite of Confirmation will be celebrated only at the 11:00 a.m. service. Because it is participatory for both parents and youth, we are having a rehearsal lunch on Sunday, May 4 at 12:15 p.m. This meeting is mandatory for both parents and youth. A meal will be provided, during which time we will discuss what it means to be a confirmed Christian in the Lutheran tradition. Affirm Youth Event - Applications were due April 15 at the rate of $325. Registrations received after May 1 will be at the rate of $350 per participant. Registration after June 1 will be accepted if there is space available. All forms are available online at Affirm 08 or in the youth ministries office here at Christ the King.

Camp Hope - will be held July 13-18 this year. This is an outreach camp for our youth that have completed the 8th grade and higher. They will be serving as counselors to younger children whose parents are incarcerated. For more information please see Kelly Edwards.
