Upcoming Youth Events

Thank you to all who donated on SouperBowl Sunday. - We received over $320 and split the donations between the Haiti Relief Fund and The Place of Forsyth County. Thanks to all the youth who participated in this annual event.

March 12 - 14, 2010 “Keep it “Tov” 2010 ALL GA Lutheran Youth Gathering with keynote speaker and musical guest AGAPE. Registration forms are located in the mailbox outside of the youth office. This year’s event will be held at the FFA Camp in Covington, Georgia and the cost is $75.00 per person for all students grades 6 -12.

2010 Theme — “Keep it 'Tov” - [Genesis 1] When God saw what had been created, God saw that it was "good". The word in Hebrew is "tov". God had put all of God's essence into what had been created. God is now inviting us to do the same thing. We are called to bring our whole essence to everything that we do [Colossians 3:17]. When we do this, we discover our own "tov", and use our gifts to bring joy and healing to the world. What gifts has God given you to bless the world with? How can you discover your own sense of "tov" and let it be expressed in the world?

March 20 5:00 p.m. Irish Dinner and Auction - Youth will help set-up tables and table settings for the Irish Dinner and Auction. Youth will also help with taking tickets when the dinner attendees arrive and help with clean-up afterward.

March 21 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. “Reel World Movie Night” - We will be watching The Incredibles, but first we’ll start with enjoying lots of pizza. After the movie we’ll spend a little time talking about some of the moral issues in it, and how we can bring them into our own lives.

April 4 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. Easter Pancake Breakfast - We will be watching The Incredibles, but first we’ll start with enjoying lots of pizza. After the movie we’ll spend a little time talking about some of the moral issues in it, and how we can bring them into our own lives.

April 11, 18, and 25 Tentative Youth Group Fund-Raiser - We have one planned and will share more information soon.

May 2 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. “Reel World Movie Night” - The movie is TBA, but we do know the evening will start with pizza! After the movie we’ll spend time talking about the moral issues in the movie and how we can bring them into our own lives.

Looking Ahead AFFIRM SUMMER CAMP June 20 - 25, 2010 - Registration packets to attend AFFIRM this summer are available in the church office or on the bulletin board next to the mailboxes in the administration hallway. We are looking for an adult to coordinate all the registrations, keep track of money, etc. If you are interested, please contact Andria Weikel at 770-271-1185.
